So we found out on Friday that our wonderful Office Manager is moving on. Although I am happy for him to be making life changes I am sad to see him go. He has brought a lot of good things into motion here and helped us all grow as an office and as individual people. I will miss hearing about all the diffrent resturants he goes to and the crazy Holiday staff meeting will not be the same w/o our very own JW! He will be missed and is leaving behind big shoes to fill. Well the year is almost over and thus a new era will begin in personal and work.

You will be missed ... esp on 10/31 every year!

Yeah I am home!

Yeah I am home! I did get to some really interesting classes at the AAO ... I have a paper to write this weekend on just such classes. I had a good time seeing my mom!!! And Chrissy is a fun travel partner but damn am I glad to be with Brian, the dogs, the cats...and I am soooo looking forward to my BED tonight!!!! and ummmm maybe some fun in it with said Brian!!! hahahahah.

Back to work tomorrow, and might I say I work for a great bunch of Doctors... I am always reminded of this after going away and seeing, and hearing how the other Docs talk about and to their techs... I love my docs at BEC!!!! Not only do they really really care about their patients but they are really good to their staff too!!!! Thanks you guys! (I bet they never see this site heehee but that's cool too.)

GA 2008 AAO

So Chrissy and I arrived yesterday to GA for the AAO (classes start today). Atlanta airport is insanely large- our luggage actually made it to the baggage claim before we did - go figure. So then it's off to the find the shuttle to the hotel. As we are waiting to get on the shuttle this bald man starts talking about how he is here for the American Academy of Optometry (duh dork it's Ophthalmology) same man then starts ragging on the hotel that the shuttle drops us off to - HOW RUDE! I wanted to turn around and tell him I wasn't here for the hotel I was here for the education my wonderful boss paid for us to attend but I was nice and kept my yap shut! Mean people sux! I did ask the shuttle driver to drop him off last LOL!

So we are at the Red Roof Inn in downtown Atlanta. The front desk staff is nice but they only had a smoking room available and ummm even though they said it wouldn't smell IT DOES... thank the Gods for Dragons Blood! O and mom is bringing us Fra-Breeze! No hairdryer in the hotel room, no coffee pot, - no safe.... we got a little fridge and a microwave... and mom to the rescue yet again she is bringing hairdryer and coffee pot! GO MOM! They do have FREE wi fi yeah man!

Last night we hooked Chrissy up she is now a member of Facebook - She is moving up!!!! Go Girl. Ok so now we are off to classes to get edumacated ... heehee!

Well for the very first time ever I voted! Brian and I went to the school at 5:45 am and stood in line for a little over 2 hours to vote... took like three min ...

Then Brian went back to work... and Devon and I went to IHOP!

So it was an interesting thing to vote ... and I hope to continue to get interested in things and vote again.

Now off to pack for my trip to GA to get a little bit smarter in my field - so the rain and wind needs to finish up today so it's not there tomorrow for my flight :)

Halloween was fun this year... after getting over Devon being a total Brat! I had a good time at work we actually won best group "The Addams Family" , then gave out candy as a good witch.

Saturday was Lisa's Halloween Party - which was fun, Jake makes a mean pig :)~ their house is really nice and it was a good time letting loose and hanging out with friends. For the good pics go to the gallery link... Work pix are under BEC... Lisa's house stuff is under Friends.

New Hobby

So I still love to paint my ceramics but now with the help of my friend Thea I am making new things.... Can't show you many yet as they are mostly Christmas/Yule/Winter Holiday gifts... but the person this one is for never goes on my site heehee so here is one.

Pumpkin Carving 08

So it seems I am not going to get my pumpkin pie this year, I seem to be forgotten every weekend now. :(

But we did get some Pumpkin Carving in. Instead of using a real pumpkin this year, we went to a new thing of getting the fake pumpkins from Micheal's so we can keep them from year to year and add to them each year and create our very own pumpkin patch. Vicki and J- Ra came over and joined the fun!

Hopefully Brian will get the pix uploaded to site soon.

Brian Surprise Party 2008

Sooooo thanks to a lot of help from Jessi - great cakes from Jean- and everyone else staying quite and showing up on time. I did it! I got Brian good for ONCE for his darn birthday! So to get him out of the house for us to get it decorated and everyone in it I dropped him off for his first massage (which he loved). His face was great! And we had a wonderful turn out the only thing missing was the Bunn clan. They were off on their first camping adventure...hmmmm Shellie sleepin on the ground...the kids had a great time still unsure on the poor adults.

Pictures to come as soon as Brian stops playing with all of his great gifts (mine were all better heehee) and uploads them to the galleries...so stayed tuned!

Bark in the Park 2008

So we went to the Chesapeake Bark in the park on Sunday. It was quite interesting lots of different dogs, and vendors and games. Fun watching the kids when they would see HUGE dogs walk by. then the little bitty ones dressed to kill.... or bite LOL. Gunner, Siena, Beefy, and Raven had a blast ... so did the two legged animals (lol) Devon, Dillon, Gavin, Grayson... as for the parents we were a little hot but it was still nice. I will keep an eye out for next years event. Who knew there were so many animals out there.

Thea gets gonged and older...

Autumn Moon Festival centers around the observance of the Equinox and a food drive. The event strives to assist the community and to make the public aware of the Pagan Pride Project, a global organization whose mission is to reduce discrimination and lessen prejudice against us. The Project also works to present the VALUE that our paths CAN bring to society as each person may honor the Divine in the manner that is best for them and the greater community. By providing accurate information on Paganism and Neo-Paganism, they hope to show cities and towns across the world that their own neighbors, co-workers, teachers, doctors, etc. practice these religions.

DIRECTIONS
The festival is held in Bayville Farms Park in Virginia Beach.
Take I-64 to Northhampton Blvd. to Shore Drive
(last exit before Chesapeak Bay Bridge-Tunnel).
Turn right on Shore Drive and another right on First Court Rd.
Enter the last parking lot on right.

New Addition

Meet Raven! She is about 7 to 9 months old. She is our newest addition to the Adamz Zoo Family (a friend for Siena to play with).

Raven is a Lab mix we recently adopted from the Norfolk SPCA, during an adopt-a-thon, that Pet Smart in Greenbrier was hosting this past weekend.

She is very loving and FULL of energy ... she is wearing Siena out :)
